NEXODUS brought the haunting Ghost Girl effect to life for director Michael B. Chait’s music video, blending practical techniques with advanced compositing. Working closely with VFX Supervisor Ryan Urban, the team developed a layered 2D approach, enhanced by silver body paint to capture intricate in-camera details. Using precise roto, distortion effects, and stylistic treatments, NEXODUS achieved a look inspired by The Abyss and Terminator 2—all within tight budget and schedule constraints. The result was a stunning, cinematic effect that exceeded expectations and brought Chait’s vision to life.
